Software Projects

Some of this is current, some of it is finished, and one of them is the thing I actually think about.

What I’m building now

shrbl boot screen with its blue and purple mark and the words 64-bit capability-based OS

shrbl

In progressOperating systemRust

Building a capability-based operating system where applications receive only the permissions they explicitly need. Rather than inheriting a user’s full privileges, programs can access only the resources granted to them. The project focuses on making capability security practical by delivering a usable desktop environment with login, file management, settings, and a fully keyboard-driven window manager.

Live

MyRepTracker homepage with feature cards and an address search for finding representatives

MyRepTracker

LiveCivic informationAll fifty states + DC

Find out what your representatives are actually doing. It follows bills, legislators, committees, votes, and elections across all fifty states; you tell it what you care about, and it emails you when something moves. You can also ask it questions about a bill in plain language, which is faster than reading forty pages of amendment text to find out whether the thing you object to survived committee.

ArsAstro

LiveVedic astrologyTraditional rules

Cast and read a chart in the traditional and Vedic systems. Divisional charts, ashtakavarga, avastha, aspects, and bhava analysis, the yogas, and the dasha periods that tell you when something is supposed to happen rather than merely what. Most of the work went into getting the classical rules right; the astronomy underneath is the part that’s already settled.

StudyHoot homepage with its book-learning features and a grid of popular books

StudyHoot

LiveReading and learningBooks

Get through a book and find out whether you actually took it in. It summarises, pulls out the themes, and sets quiz questions that come with the reasoning behind the right answer, not just the right answer, which is the difference between checking a box and learning something.

FutbolHawk dashboard showing recent and upcoming fixtures and player ratings

FutbolHawk

LiveFootball dataPredictions and FPL

A football platform for following leagues and cups with fixtures, results, lineups, standings, and a personalized news feed. It simulates seasons thousands of times to generate title probabilities, tracks those predictions week by week, and includes Fantasy Premier League tools for captaincy, transfers, value picks, differentials, injury tracking, and prediction contests.

Other things I’ve built

An ad platform. An end-to-end advertising platform with campaign management, real-time auctions, audience targeting, frequency capping, budget pacing, A/B testing, fallback logic, and an administrative console for advertisers and publishers.

Motlii: A multi-site content management system with centralized administration and a drag-and-drop page builder, enabling non-technical users to create and manage content across multiple websites.

Magnodata: A video-based consumer research platform that transcribes interviews, analyzes sentiment, extracts themes, enables natural-language search across responses, and automatically generates research reports from participant videos.
